The Enterprise Game captures the concept of business enterprise in a practical, enjoyable and realistic way. The Game requires players to make decisions on investment, management, production, selling and delivery all vital skills for future success.
1000 copies of The Enterprise Game are being distributed to schools across Greater Manchester for free. Each borough will have a bespoke board representing local work-based learning providers and employers.

The Bury Enterprise GameThe launch of the Bury Enterprise Game took place on 8 December 2010 at the Elizabethan Suite in Bury. The event was attended by teams from eight Bury schools and five Bury work-based learning providers who competed for team and individual prizes. The launch was hosted by Halton Education Borough Partnership who guided students and teachers through the game and scored the competition. Parrenthorn High School won the team prize and Tamara Davies of Parrenthorn won the individual prize. The GMLPN would like to thank the Bury Work-Based Learning Partnership for their support in organising the event.
| The Salford Enterprise GameThe Salford Enterprise Game launched on 7 February at Buille Hill Park Hall in Salford and was attended by 13 teams from 11 Salford Secondary Schools. The event was supported Salford work-based learning providers and businesses as well as Salford Council, Salford Business Education Partnership and Salford Foundation. St Georges R.C High School won the team prize and the indivdual winner was Nathan Taylor also from St Georges. The Right Worshipful the Mayor of the City of Salford, Councillor George William Wilson attended the event, accompanied by the Mayoress and presented prizes to the winners. |
